Stipend, Benefits, PPL, and Other Resources
A stipend of $23,700 is offered for the Doctoral Internship, beginning July 1 and ending June 30. In addition, Interns are entitled to participate in our health benefits plan, which begins the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment. They also have access to free parking on site and public transportation is available throughout the city and to the hospital. Interns also get 10 (PPL) paid personal days plus 6 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day).
Office Space
Each intern is provided consistent office space, and when needed they share this office with a practicum student or intern who provides clinical services during the time the Intern is scheduled to provide services on the inpatient unit. They also have computers in each office, where they have access to their own e-mail accounts, the electronic record system, and a shared drive with forms and resource information we post for department staff.
Training Rooms, Testing Equipment, and other Resources
We also have several rooms of sufficient size to meet for didactics, case conference, and staff meetings, or to provide group therapy, including one with a tv with DVD/VCR to watch training tapes, and projector when needed.
We also have a full supply of testing equipment needed for comprehensive evaluations. And we have a small library of books and other training materials, tapes, and other resources.
